Most of the resignation majors who left the hospital last year in opposition to the policy of increasing medical schools refused to return to the hospital despite the government's special measures for training and enlistment.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare said 221 training hospitals nationwide applied only 199 people and 2.2% to 9,220 Sajik residents for recruitment of majors in the first half of the year, which was conducted from the 15th to the 19th.

Earlier, the government applied special cases to training regulations that restrict the return of residents within one year of their resignation, and allowed them to join the military after completing training when they return to the hospital.

However, despite these measures, 97.8% of the majors do not return to training hospitals, which is expected to cause significant disruption not only to patient treatment but also to the doctor training system.

There are 98 candidates for compulsory military officers who applied for recruitment in the first half of this year and are subject to special enlistment, and the remaining majors must join the army in March or wait for enlistment after next year.

As of the end of October last year, the number of candidates for medical officers among the resignation majors was 3,000, far exceeding the normal military demand of 1,000, and it may take up to four years to actually join the army.
