Recently, on the second-hand trading platform Carrot, an urgent-time part-timer job posting, "Searching for a good-looking female student to participate in Saturday's rally," was deleted. The job posting suggested an hourly wage of 10,000 won to 30 won.
Carrot provides a job posting service that connects jobs in the region, but blocks the exposure of posts if it is deemed inappropriate for the operation policy, including political and religious symbols or messages.
A similar article was posted on the Naver Store that it would send an acting rally protesters for 30,000 won to 50,000 won per person. Naver, which does not deal with job openings and job searches under the terms and conditions, banned sales as soon as it confirmed that the sales were posted.
In addition, other e-commerce companies such as 11th Street, Coupang, and Interpark were deleted after posting the same article.
The company that posted the job posting is a company specializing in manpower agency with a workplace in Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do. The company explained in the job posting that distribution of assembly supplies, on-site work, actual input cases, and pre-training will be carried out.
As the controversy spread, the posting of the rally demonstration personnel disappeared, and now only guest acting, tasting assistants, and hospital accompanying posts have been posted.
Under the Act on Rallies and Protests, both organizers and bought participants can be punished if they have paid to hire someone to participate in the rally.
