The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency released 21 out of 22 people arrested on charges of breaking into the court yesterday (21st).
Considering the seriousness of the charges, the police applied for an arrest warrant for only one person who first crossed the court fence.
The four people who were released were found to have been at the controversial Gangnam Police Station in Seoul after Yoon Sang-hyun, a member of the People's Power, asked for leniency.
Earlier, acting National Police Agency Commissioner Lee Ho-young said lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun called the Gangnam district chief, saying, "Please take good care of the Western District Court."
Police applied for 66 arrest warrants out of 90 protesters arrested in connection with the Western District Court riot, and prosecutors rejected the warrant request, saying three of them needed a supplementary investigation.
