A number of protesters accused of rioting in and around the Seoul Western District Court have been arrested.
The majority were the ones who stormed and rioted the Western District Court.
I'll connect you with more news and reporters.
Reporter Yoon Woong-sung, how many people were arrested in total?
[Reporter]
Yes, the Seoul Western District Court issued an arrest warrant for 56 people who went on a rampage inside and outside the Western District Court between the 18th and 19th.
Yesterday (21st), the prosecution requested arrest warrants for 58 people, but most of them were arrested.
They are accused of entering the court and going on a rampage, destroying household appliances, assaulting the police, and blocking the vehicle of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.
In particular, 46 people are suspected of storming the court, and all but two of them have been arrested.
The court dismissed those arrested, saying they were feared to flee, and that there was no fear of destruction due to sufficient evidence.
Arrest warrants were issued for two of the five people who were reviewed for assault on police officers on the 20th, and the rest were rejected on the grounds that most of the evidence was collected and there was no fear of destruction.
As a result, 58 of 63 people have been arrested so far in connection with the Western District Court riot.
The police are specifying additional participants through evidence videos, so the number of targets for investigation is expected to increase in the future.

What is the current situation in the Western District Court, which has been badly damaged by the storming of rally participants?
[Reporter]
Yes, the court removed large waste such as broken windows on the day of the raid and began normal operation the next day, this Monday.
However, damaged outer walls and windows have not yet been restored.
The court plans to temporarily cover the broken outer wall tiles with sandwich panels by today (22nd), and replace them with the same finishing material in March.
The windows are blocked with plastic material, and they will be replaced by this Friday.
In addition, for the security of the building, the simple civil service consultation work has been suspended until this Friday, and only employees and trial parties are allowed to enter.
